Q:   Which Scratchers tickets can be entered into the promotion?

A:   Eligible, non-winning California Game Day Scratchers (Games: #1689 San Francisco 49ers Scratchers, #1690 Los Angeles Rams Scratchers & #1691 Los Angeles Chargers Scratchers) tickets can be entered into the team’s corresponding bonus draw and automatically into the grand prize draw by manual submission at 2nd Chance or by scanning each eligible, non-winning barcode using the California Lottery Official Mobile App.  Eligible, non-winning California Game Day Scratchers (Games: #1689 San Francisco 49ers Scratchers, #1690 Los Angeles Rams Scratchers, and #1691 Los Angeles Chargers Scratchers) tickets can be entered into the team’s corresponding bonus draw as well as the grand prize draw by manual submission at 2nd Chance or by scanning each eligible, non-winning barcode using the California Lottery Official Mobile App

Q:   How many entries can players receive?

A:   Players will receive entries based on price point (i.e., a $10 ticket receives 10 entries) for every eligible, non-winning California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance code submitted. 

Q:   In addition to the California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draws, are players automatically entered into the regular Scratchers 2nd Chance Weekly Pool Draw?

A:  Yes.  After submitting an eligible, non-winning ticket code, players are automatically entered into the regular Scratchers 2nd Chance Weekly Pool Draw. To be eligible for the current week’s draw, players must submit their eligible, non-winning 2nd Chance codes online by Saturday at 11:59 pm or they will be entered into the following week’s draw. Each submission is good for one weekly draw. 

Q:  Where can players check to see how many entries were submitted into the Scratchers 2nd Chance Weekly Drawing and/or California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw?

A:  Once players are logged into their My Account, follow the steps below:

1.  Click on “My Submissions” link.

2.  Verify submission of the 2nd Chance code.

3.  Click on the 2nd Chance code to view details of how many entries were submitted for the Scratchers 2nd Chance Weekly Drawing and/or California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draws.

Q:   When are the draws for the prizes?

A:    The draws will occur within fifteen (15) calendar days after the entry deadline of the promotion and will take place in accordance with the California Lottery Regulations and procedures.

Q:   How will players know they have won?

A:    Winners will receive a phone call and/or email from the California Lottery’s fulfillment vendor, Alcone Marketing Group (The Marketing Arm). Once all winners/alternates have been selected and have accepted their prize, the list of winners will be posted on the California Lottery website.

Q: What happens if the prizes are not claimed?

A: If the winner fails to claim their prize, that winner waives all rights to the prize, and an alternate winner will be selected.  Players may not win more than one prize in any draw.

Official Rules

Purpose

The California Lottery is conducting California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draws for registered 2nd Chance players as an incentive for players to purchase $10 California Game Day Scratchers (Games: #1689 San Francisco 49ers Scratchers, #1690 Los Angeles Rams Scratchers & #1691 Los Angeles Chargers Scratchers).

Promotion Period
The California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draws will begin August 18, 2025 and end October 1, 2025 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. 

The California Lottery reserves the right to terminate or extend this promotion at any time.

Prizes

The promotion will have a total of ninety (90) winners and four draws. The estimated prize value for each draw’s tiers are outlined below.

• 3 Winners: The Ultimate Fan Experience - A Pair of Tickets to Super Bowl LX (Feb. 8, 2026 - Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA) + $15,000 Cash (the total estimated fair market value of the noncash prize is $15,000, plus a cash value of $15,000, totaling an estimated prize value of $30,000 for each winner) 

There is no cash option in lieu of any prizes. Prizes are not transferable. Prizes must be accepted in their entirety.  Any taxes on the value of the prizes above the applicable federal tax withholding are the responsibility of the winners. Neither the California Lottery, nor Alcone Marketing Group (The Marketing Arm), the Lottery’s fulfillment vendor, is responsible for any additional taxes incurred by the winners as a result of winning a prize. California Lottery will withhold and remit the standard federal tax withholding of 24% for US Citizen/Resident Aliens and 30% for Non-Resident Aliens on the non-cash and cash prize from the total cash prize on the winner’s behalf. The winner will receive a Form W2-G or 1042-S issued no later than January 31st of the subsequent calendar year. Winners should consult with a tax professional for further clarification on tax responsibilities. 

The companion that a winner selects as their guest must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.  Some venues, activities, vendors, and/or other service providers may impose a minimum age limit, and winners and companions will be required to comply with such age requirements, where applicable.   

Odds
The odds of winning a prize in any draw vary based on the total number of entries received and the total number of entries each player submits for that draw. 

Eligibility and Participation
Players must be at least 18 years of age.  Players must meet eligibility requirements at the time of the promotional drawing.  To enter the California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draws, players must register as a player on the California Lottery website.  When registering, players must provide a valid California address. Submissions must be entered from a location within California to be eligible for the California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draws.  Players must provide true and current information.  Players must provide their true, full legal name when registering for the 2nd Chance program.  Failure to provide full legal name at registration will make the player ineligible to receive prizes from the California Lottery.  Any change in name, whether due to marriage or otherwise, must be reflected on the California Lottery’s registration page prior to the draw to be eligible for any prize.  Persons who register with fictitious names will be ineligible to win any prize.  The California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draws are not open to certain California Lottery vendors or employees of the California Lottery, their agents, and certain family members residing in the same household in accordance with California Lottery Regulations.

How to Enter
To enter the California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draws, players must log in to their verified California Lottery 2nd Chance account or create a verified account at California Lottery to submit a 2nd Chance code.  Eligible, non-winning California Game Day Scratchers (Games: #1689, #1690 & #1691) tickets can be entered into the team’s corresponding bonus draw as well as the grand prize draw by manual submission at 2nd Chance or by scanning each eligible, non-winning barcode using the California Lottery Official Mobile App (i.e., an eligible non-winning San Francisco 49ers Scratchers code is entered is automatically entered into the San Francisco 49ers Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw and the Grand Prize California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw). Players will receive the standard number of entries based on price point (i.e., a $10 ticket receives 10 entries) for every eligible, non-winning California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance code submitted.  Each 2nd Chance account will be limited to no more than a combined 500 code submissions per calendar month per participant.  Entering a code is considered a submission; submissions that offer multiple entries count as only one submission, regardless of the number of associated entries.

There will be four draws:

Draw #1 (Game #1689) Entry Period: 8/18/25 - 10/1/25

Draw #2 (Game #1690) Entry Period: 8/18/25 - 10/1/25

Draw #3 (Game #1691) Entry Period: 8/18/25 - 10/1/25

Draw #4 Grand Prize (Games #1689, #1690, #1691) Entry Period: 8/18/25 - 10/1/25

Eligible, non-winning California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance codes must be submitted during the promotional period to be eligible for entry into the California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draws. The draws will occur within fifteen (15) calendar days after the promotional period ends with alternates drawn in the event a winner has not responded within the claim period. Draws will take place in accordance with California Lottery Regulations and procedures. All eligible, non-winning California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance codes submitted into the California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draws are also automatically entered into the regular Scratchers 2nd Chance Weekly Pool Draws that apply. 

Winner Notification and Claims

The California Lottery will randomly select the winners and alternates from the eligible California Game Day Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw entries.  The California Lottery’s fulfillment vendor, Alcone Marketing Group (Alcone), will contact winners via phone and/or email using the contact information provided to the California Lottery by the player. Winners will have 72 hours from the time of this initial contact to respond to Alcone to claim their prize. Once the winner claims their prize, they will have 72 hours to complete and submit the required paperwork. In the event the winner does not respond within 72 hours of the initial contact by Alcone or fails to timely submit all required and completed paperwork to Alcone, the winner waives all rights to the prize, and an alternate winner will be selected.  Once all winners/alternates have been selected and have accepted their prize, the list of winners will be posted on the California Lottery website. 

Additional Terms
Players are responsible for complying with the Official Rules in addition to state and federal law and California Lottery Regulations.  Proof of age, eligibility, and identity must be furnished upon request.  Players affirmatively agree to the California Lottery’s use of their name, likeness, photo, story, and hometown for advertising and publicity purposes, without compensation.  All taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner subject to applicable Federal withholding requirements.  By participating in the program, and/or accepting any prize or promotional award, players agree to and do release and hold harmless the California Lottery and its commissioners, employees, agents, and officers from any claim, demand, judgment, award, and/or any liability of any kind whatsoever.  The California Lottery reserves the right to modify or terminate this program at any time.  In the event of a conflict, these Official Rules supersede any applicable general rules or advertisements of the California Lottery.
